Flamingo Marina is Well Underway
The development will include 175 wet slips, a dry boat storage facility and 2 mixed use retail and residential buildings of more than 15,000 square meters combined. Also planned is resort hotel on 2.5 hectares of reclaimed land. With this ambitious project, The Marina Flamingo Development Group seeks to transform the Gold Coast of Guanacaste into the premier coastal community in all of the Americas while encouraging sustainable practices of eco-tourism. Marina Flamingo is aware of the interrelationship of the ocean with the rich biodiversity of Guanacaste by promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible practices including environmental monitoring, ecological site preparation and water quality testing.
The project includes a vessel taxi loading area and a boat ramp next to the coast guard facility with plenty of parking. Marina Flamingo anticipates being a leader in the community where our local businesses to peddle their wares in an upscale facility with full partner ship with the government to ensure a dynamic community.
The project was approved officially on October 8th, 2019 with all environmental and construction permits for Phase 1 in place. Since then, the progress is notable with the infrastructure phase in progress. Phase I will take approximately 2 years to give Flamingo a state-of-the-art, fully operational marina. With that, the socioeconomic impact to the Playa Flamingo community will bring exciting new opportunities for growth as well as the entire Guanacaste region.
